The process

Company verification in five steps.

No integration, no configuration. Set up an account, add a report credit, enter what you know, and review structured evidence.

01

Create an account or sign in

Verifications run inside your Red Flags Verification account. Creating an account takes a moment, and returning customers simply sign in.

Your account is also where completed reports are kept, so you can return to them later.

Your account
  • Run verifications
  • Hold report credits
  • Access completed reports

02

Add a report credit

One report credit covers one completed verification report. Pay As You Go is £49 for a single report credit, with no subscription.

Buying a credit does not start a verification. The credit sits in your account until you choose a business to verify. Plans for regular checks are shown on the pricing page.

Report credit

£49

1 report credit · 1 verification report

A credit is used when a verification produces a completed report.

03

Enter the business

Provide the company information you already have, including the business name, country and relevant registration or tax identifier where available.

The exact fields that matter vary depending on the country and the data available for that company.

04

Red Flags investigates

The platform cross-checks the submitted details against available company, compliance and business intelligence sources.

Available checks depend on jurisdiction, company type and source availability.

05

Review the evidence

The findings are organised into a structured verification report showing verified information, discrepancies, risk indicators and supporting intelligence.

The completed report stays in your account, so you can reopen or download it after the verification has finished.

What we investigate

Multiple checks. One structured investigation.

Each verification draws on the intelligence available for that company and jurisdiction.

01

Company Registry Intelligence

Where available, Red Flags reviews authoritative or registry information such as legal company name, registration status, company number, formation details, registered address, business activity and available filing or registry indicators. The depth of registry information differs between jurisdictions.

02

Submitted Information Consistency

The information you enter — business name, registration number, tax/VAT identifier, address, website, telephone and contact details — is compared against available verified information where reliable comparison data exists. The purpose is to surface inconsistencies, not simply return database records.

03

Sanctions & PEP Intelligence

Screening for sanctions exposure, politically exposed persons where supported, and related compliance indicators. A clear screening result does not by itself mean a counterparty is safe, and does not constitute regulatory compliance on your behalf.

04

Digital Infrastructure Assessment

Where a website is submitted, the report assesses the infrastructure behind it — the IP address it resolves to, hosting provider and location, the ASN, whether it sits in a datacentre, and screening for VPN, proxy, Tor exit node or anonymising relay. Hosting arrangements have ordinary explanations, so this is a comparison point rather than proof either way.

05

Business Intelligence

Available operational, classification, registry and other business signals may contribute to the overall picture. Availability varies considerably by company and country.

Not every check is available in every jurisdiction. Available checks depend on jurisdiction, company type and source availability.

Data vs intelligence

Finding data is easy. Understanding inconsistencies is harder.

Red Flags is not designed simply to return a collection of company records. It is designed to show how the pieces of information relate to each other.

Interpretation

One item requires further review.

Four signals support the submitted profile. One cannot be reliably supported, so it is surfaced for attention rather than buried in a data dump.

Individual data points matter. Their consistency matters more.

Signals

Not every signal means the same thing.

Green flags

Green flags represent information that supports the submitted company profile or reduces uncertainty. A green flag does not guarantee that a company is legitimate.

  • Registration verified
  • Address supported
  • Website information consistent
  • Company active
  • Sanctions screening clear

Red flags

Red flags indicate discrepancies, unusual signals or information requiring further attention.

  • Submitted data does not match available registry information
  • Business identifier discrepancy
  • Address inconsistency
  • Sanctions-related concern

A red flag is a reason to investigate further — not automatically proof of fraud or wrongdoing.

Verification score

A score to help prioritise risk — not replace judgement.

The Red Flags Verification score summarises the signals identified during the investigation and reflects the overall consistency of the available intelligence.

Example scoreDemonstration data

87/100

LOWER RISK
  • A higher score does not guarantee a company is legitimate.
  • A lower score does not automatically mean fraud.
  • The underlying findings matter more than the number alone.
  • Review individual red flags and their supporting evidence.
  • Interpretation depends on the intelligence available for that verification.

Data availability

Unavailable isn't the same as suspicious.

Company intelligence varies significantly between jurisdictions and sources. Missing source data does not automatically generate a red flag.

Verified

Information can be independently supported by available intelligence.

Not verified / mismatch

Available information conflicts with the submitted information, or does not support it.

Unavailable

The required intelligence cannot reliably be obtained for this company or jurisdiction.

“We would rather tell you that information is unavailable than pretend we know something we don’t.”

International coverage

Built for cross-border business.

Red Flags Verification currently supports company verification across 50 countries. Available identifiers, registry information and intelligence checks vary by jurisdiction.

Identifiers

Different countries. Different identifiers.

Companies are identified differently around the world. Selecting the correct country and identifier type helps the verification match your company to the right records — and reduces the chance of an inconclusive result.

  • Company registration numbers
  • VAT numbers
  • Tax identifiers
  • National business identifiers
  • Other recognised company identifiers

Transparency

Decision support, not a guarantee.

Red Flags Verification helps you:

  • Independently investigate business information
  • Identify inconsistencies
  • Surface risk indicators
  • Organise intelligence
  • Prioritise further investigation
  • Document verification findings

Red Flags Verification does not:

  • Guarantee a business is legitimate
  • Guarantee that fraud will be detected
  • Replace professional legal advice
  • Replace professional financial advice
  • Replace regulatory obligations
  • Eliminate the need for judgement in higher-risk transactions
